Business Trip (part 4) - End of the day
Day 4
So today I woke up to some distressing news on Airport security. It seems they found Terrorists in UK planning on bombing mid-flight planes on the way to the US here. They arrested 21 of the maybe 50 they suspect. The main thing they found was inert liquids that they could bring on, but once combined could be high explosive bombs. So now Homeland Security has determined a high risk of terrorism and has given the following restrictions against the following carry-ons:

Business Trip (part 3) - The Trainings…
Day 3
So it got down to making custom controls inside Visual Studio for the training site we are creating. Some simple functions we worked on were categorial lists, creating business rules, server controls in VB, and then into Document Management. When we used the library and the image editor, I was excited because it allowed the user to crop and resize when uploading into the library (something Greg was looking for). With this manager, Ektron Explorer, it seemed like a simple file system interface, yet I was not able to upload and got the great error -2147217911. They took the number and then tried to fix it, but no avail. Read more

Day 2
Today started the beginning of my training for the CMS 400 .Net v6. The setup was not all that I expected. It seems that they just started these trainings back in June, yet have a high request for them. Initially it was going to be once every other month.. . but now has pushed to about once a week. It is also not restricted to New Hampshire, they had one in L.A. and the UK. It began with a small room (in the Ektron space of about 8 rooms) with 8 computers. They added more, knocking down the wall next to it to have 5 rows of computers and 2 projectors.
As far as the CMS, it seems they set us up with MS Web Developer Express 2005.. (free).. and it seems to be handling well. Read more

Day 1 continues…
No commentsSo with a plan in mind, plus my final project for B&W Photography class, I was off again driving the highways and byways of New Hampshire. I was able to find an easy route heading due east from the airport. The highway was empty looking and long stretches of highway made it look like those up I-5 past Mount Vernon.
Business Trip (part 0) - The Flight
So it started off with saying good-bye to my family and fiancé, whom I will miss very much. The trip that is planned is for Ektron Development Training under their latest flagship product, CMS 400 .NET v6.
DAY 1
No commentsToday (overnight) was the flight day in which I took the 11:15pm flight and arrived in Chicago at 4:40am CST. First was a relaxing shuttle ride by the great Larry L. He was able to get their in perfect timing and not be a mute.
New EvCC Design
*UNCLASSIFIED*
EvCC was first contracted back in 2001 with an outside company to create the website for the college. It met many of the needs of the college at the time, however has grown into a pain to update, communicate and provide information in an efficient manner.
Starting in 2005, the administration asked for a re-design to be developed, to provide both usability and a student centric website. Since then, the WSC has given the OK for us to go ahead and start the design and development. At this time, we are still in the site organization and layout of the site. With the help of Greg K., Sidnee W. and myself, we continue refining our results and the site will be released.. __________ (date classified).
Continue checking back for more information during this busy and exciting time for the college campus and community. Stay Close… Go Far!
